Classical Ballet

Classical Ballet is the foundation for all genres of dance. 

The skills and technique developed during ballet class is really helpful for all other styles of dance. Ballet focuses on the basics of dance movement, helps build strength and flexibilty, alignment and musicality, and develops discipline and dedication. 

No matter which style of dance you choose to do, ballet gives any dancer a great basis and is incorporated in every style of dance from Tap to Hip Hop.

Dancers are encouraged to take part in ballet classes as part of their dance training. 

Tap 

 

Tap dance is a great way to develop rhythm, coordination and musicality. It develops strength in the legs and feet and helps to increase flexibiltiy in the hips, knees and ankles. 

In tap dancing, your feet make the music. Complex rhythms and patterns not only sound great but gives a great workout for your brain. Repeating, reversing and counting rhythm patterns promotes healthy brain activity and helps people of all ages. 

 

Modern Dance
 

Modern dance gives dancers the chance to explore their creativity through movement. We learn various styles of modern dance like jazz, contemporary and lyrical which gives dancers a chance to express themselves.

 

Modern also develops strength, coordination, flexibilty through floor work, jumps and travelling steps and gives the dancer more freedom of movement.
