Katy Baker
SCHOOL OF DANCE
MISS KATY...
Miss Katy began dancing at the age of three, studying ballet, tap, modern jazz and theatre technique. Dancing with the same dance school in Lincolnshire until the age of 18, Miss Katy obtained many successful examinations and awards over the years. At 18 years old, she went on to study a degree in Dance Practise and Performance at the University of Wolverhampton where she graduated with Honours.
During her time at University, Miss Katy performed in productions for esteemed choreographers in contemporary dance as well as creating her own choreography. Whilst at University she studied for her teaching career and obtained membership with the IDTA Ballet Faculty with distinction.
Upon graduation, Miss Katy started teaching dance workshops in local schools and then secured a full time position teaching at a dance school in Bradford. Moving back to Lincolnshire in 2014 she decided the time was right to open her own dance school, thus the Katy Baker School of Dance was created.

Since opening her school, she continues to further her qualifications and now has a Level 4 Diploma in Tap, Licentiate level qualifications in modern and a Fellowship level qualification in ballet. She is currently working towards gaining her Fellowship in Modern with the IDTA.
